This notice explains how the book’s early-access list handles an email address and edition preference.
Who is responsible
The list is inactive. A verified controller name, privacy email, mailing contact, D1 database and accurate transfer notice are required before collection can be enabled.
What is collected
The waitlist stores the email address you enter, your print/digital preference, your consent record and timestamps, the consent-notice version and the fixed source label “foxes-and-trust”.
Cloudflare may create limited security logs when it serves and protects the form. The project does not request a name, date of birth, precise location or payment information through this form, and it does not store an IP address or browser identifier in the waitlist database.
Purpose and legal basis
Your information is stored to measure interest in the print and digital editions of Foxes & Trust. If project emails begin later, it may also be used to send preview pages, production notes, launch news and edition offers. Processing is based on the consent given through the unchecked signup control.
The address will not be added to unrelated project lists without a new choice.
Service providers and transfers
No subscriber data currently leaves this prototype. The prepared production design uses Cloudflare D1 for storage. Processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards will be stated here before activation.
Subscriber information is not sold and is not shared for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Retention
Early-access records remain while the list is open and needed to measure interest in, prepare and publish Foxes & Trust. Continued need is reviewed at least once a year. The record is deleted if you withdraw consent, the list closes or the book project is ended.
After an unsubscribe request, a minimal suppression record may be retained as necessary to ensure that marketing messages do not resume and to meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
Before updates begin, you can withdraw consent through the privacy contact below. Every future book update will also include a direct unsubscribe method. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, object to processing, or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

United States, California and Canada
Commercial emails will use accurate sender information and subject lines, identify the sender and their commercial nature where required, include a valid postal address, and provide a working no-cost unsubscribe method. Opt-out requests will be honored within ten business days.
This site does not currently use cross-site behavioural advertising or third-party advertising trackers. It therefore does not change behaviour in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. No third party is permitted to collect personally identifiable information here for cross-site advertising.
Where California privacy rights apply, requests to know, correct or delete data can be made through the privacy contact above. The project does not sell or share subscriber information.
Canadian recipients are added only after express consent through the signup form. The signup address, edition choice, time and source are retained; when messages begin, each one will identify the sender and contact information, and unsubscribe requests will be applied without delay and no later than ten business days.
Children
The early-access list is not directed to children under 16 and the project does not knowingly collect their personal information. If such an entry is identified, it will be removed.
Security and changes
Access to the list is limited to the services and people needed to operate it. Transport encryption, account protection and database access controls are required before collection begins.
Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated to subscribers before the new use begins.
