Hauster

Making complex purchasing logic feel simple.

Hauster eCommerce design shown on a laptop beside DIY tools and construction materials

An independent redesign of Hauster’s configurable bulk-purchase experience.

The challenge

Bulk orders combine product options, quantities and discount tiers. The logic is complex, but customers should not have to manage that complexity themselves.

The approach

I designed shopping interactions that keep product combinations, quantities, discount tiers and order totals connected. Customers can configure a large purchase, see how each change affects their savings and review the whole order without losing context.

The result

Hauster trusted the same project manager, developer and designer with two substantial follow-up projects. For this bulk-purchasing redesign, that continuity helped us turn specialised purchasing logic into a clear, controlled experience. No measured commercial uplift is claimed for this work.

INDEPENDENT FOLLOW-UP · BULK UX

Complex logic behind the scenes.
Simple control for customers.

After the initial agency engagement ended, Hauster chose to continue working directly with the original project manager, developer and me. They trusted the team with two substantial follow-up projects, including this bulk-purchasing redesign.

  1. 01

    Keep the order visible

Show what is included, how the products relate and what the customer is building.

  2. 02

    Make quantities controllable

Let customers adjust a large order without losing their place or the logic behind it.

  3. 03

    Explain discount tiers

Show how quantity changes affect savings, so customers understand the commercial impact before checkout.

  4. 04

    Reduce costly mistakes

Keep combinations, variants and totals in one view so customers can review a complex purchase with confidence.

2 SUBSTANTIAL FOLLOW-UP PROJECTS

Earlier project-page and product-page work was completed during the agency engagement. The bulk-purchasing redesign shown here came later and was delivered directly with the same project manager and developer.

Conversion, product pages, subscriptions, bundles — or something that just feels harder than it should.

You don’t need a perfect brief. That’s part of my job.

No sales sequence. No account manager. Just a reply from me.
